One of the country’s newest and most dynamic names in insurance broking has bolstered its operations with another key appointment.
Lauren Winstanley has become the latest addition to the Private Client team at Broadway Insurance Brokers.
The arrival is her latest position in a 20-year career which has already seen her work with some of the North West’s other leading independent brokers.
It also comes just weeks after Broadway revealed that the value of assets for which it has arranged cover across its corporate and private client divisions has doubled in the last six months to nearly £1 billion.
Broadway’s Private Client Director, Eleanor Moore, said Ms Winstanley’s recruitment amounted to “a perfect fit”.
“In the space of less than two years, we’ve established ourselves as a very energetic and fast-growing business.
“Both the volume and complexity of work which we handle for our private clients has continued to increase, so we were keen to recruit someone capable of maintaining the very high standards which have been our hallmark.
“Lauren is an immensely talented broker with lots of experience. We are all convinced that she will make a very positive contribution and help reinforce why Broadway is now the insurance broker of choice for so many of the region’s high net worth individuals.”
Led by Ms Moore, Broadway’s Private Client team has been an instrumental part in the firm’s development, complementing the progress made by Martin Lilley, its Director of Corporate Services.
Despite having only launched in August 2020, Broadway – which maintains offices at Ashley Hall in Altrincham, Cheshire – is on course to generate more than £4.5 million in Gross Written Premiums (GWPs) during the current financial year, three times the amount for the previous 12 months.
In addition to acting for many North West’s richest individuals and private businesses, it has embarked on an ambitious programme of activity to capitalise upon its growing workload at home and abroad.
Ms Moore said that many of Broadway’s corporate clients featured businesses based in the region were involved in a wide range of sectors, including logistics, engineering, manufacturing, construction and property, with a “significant” number turning over in excess of £250 million.
