Broadway Goes Global In Latest Industry Analysis

Broadway Insurance Brokers has capped another remarkable year by being named among the very best performers in the global insurance industry.

Despite only launching in 2020, the boutique firm has been singled out in a list of the world’s Five-Star Brokers published by Insurance Business magazine.

Chief Executive Daniel Lloyd-John has described the twin recognition as a “fitting tribute” to the effort of his colleagues in establishing Broadway as one of the leading risk management consultants outside London.

“We have really all been blown away by everything that’s happened over the last 12 months.

“Even more than being able to add to our ranks with some incredibly talented professionals, being held in such high regard by our peers, clients and independent observers is a source of immense satisfaction.

“We certainly aren’t resting on our laurels, though, and are keen to use this feedback as inspiration to make even more progress in the months and years to come.”

Only 14 UK risk management firms from across the country were identified as Five-Star Brokers by Insurance Business’s 30-strong research team.

The publication produces a series of specialist reports on the world’s insurance industry throughout the year, which it says showcase the “top-performing insurance professionals and companies”.

Rather than being based purely on overall size by number of employees or turnover, judges drew up their final list based on “business per broker” which, they outlined, “ensures that the very best brokerages are singled out”.

Ms Moore’s inclusion in the ‘Elite Women’ list means she finds herself among some of the domestic industry’s best known insurance executives, all of whom are noted for their “excellence and tenacity”.

Broadway’s double-billing in the Insurance Business global study is not the only high-profile celebration of its continued strides forward.

Mr Lloyd-John was one of only four insurance brokers recognised by Spear’s magazine as the UK’s best advisers to high net worth clients.

He was the only individual based outside London to feature in the classification.

In March, Broadway also collected the Commercial Lines Specialist Broker of the Year title, one of 29 different categories at the National Insurance Awards honouring those showing “pre-eminence in their field”.

As well as its ranking success, Broadway has made a number of senior strategic appointments during 2023.

In October, Emma Wood joined as the firm’s new Director of Healthcare, while Gary Ward as its new Director of Operations, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance in July.

Louisa Roberts was always recruited as Senior Client Executive, has amassed 25 years’ experience with several of the North West’s best-known brokers.
